Default Best Laptop for $680

Hey guys, I need to find the best laptop on NewEgg for around $680. My friends brother is graduationing from the police academy so his Mom is buying him a laptop. So what's the best/fastest/most reliable laptop on there for around that price?

I'd say it should have atleast:

60 GB
512 MB
DVD
15.4"

He'd use it for surfing the web/music/etc and maybe a little CS/DoD. I just don't know a thing about mobile processors and video cards.

This one, with one of these, probably.

So, $599+$62= $661

That sounds reasonable to me.

Semprons are getting a little old and slow now...I would say for that price to get a Celeron M as they are better than the semprons.

I would take this notebook, wipe Vista off of it
Newegg.com - COMPAQ Presario C502US(RQ335UA) NoteBook Intel Celeron M 440(1.86GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 512MB 80GB 5400rpm DVD/CD-RW Combo Intel GMA950 - Retail

And then have someone install this gig of memory into it and it should be a really nice Notebook for that price.

Newegg.com - APIDA 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Notebook Memory - Retail

Both of those in my cart comes to a subtotal of $681 bucks heh.

Then you will have a Notebook with'

15.4inch Screen
1.5GB ram
Celeron M (1.86ghz)
80GB HDD
