Best budget build for 1920x1080

I know this subject has been well worked in the past, yet I find myself more confused after reading previous threads on this than when I started, so I need some help clarifying.

I want to start with a Asus VW246 24" LCD with a resolution of 1920x1080.
I plan on going with an i5-760 on a ASUS LGA1156 Intel P55 DDR3 - 2133 ATX Motherboard P755D Pro. Im a gamer obviously , I need to know a good video card for this set up. I also watch movies on this puter.
I was thinking of a HD4870 1gb or a GTX 260, but am unsure and need help.
I am ready to shop, just dont want to waste any money, thx in advance,

I'd suggest going with an i5 2500k instead of the standard i5. Or don't get it unlocked just get the i5 2500.

I'd suggest this video card instead of the 260. It is a 460, that is famous for huge overclocks:

I'd wait for the other people that are more knowledgeable with Intel, but I'm pretty sure u should get a Sandy Bridge.
