Best 500 GB drives for a decent price

Okay so I have 2 RAID 1 arrays running on my computer. One RAID is for my OS drives and the other is for my game drives. What sucks is that my game Array just failed completely, both drives are shot which means I've lost everything. Sweet, thanks! And 1 more question. Let's say I can get at least one of my failed Seagate hard drives to work again, is it possible to plug in a new Western Digital drive and have the RAID rebuild to the W.D. drive and then plug in a second W.D. drive afterwards and rebuild the RAID so I don't lose anything? Or am I just screwed without a manual backup? (which I have but it's pretty old)
