Hey,

I ordered 2 HD's and noticed they are 'bare drives'. are these bad items to order?

should i return it? if i keep it, anything i should know about it (in terms of what it comes with or without)

Prehaps you mean OEM?

All OEM means is that you get only the drive. In most cases, wraped in bubble wrap with no cables, screws or documentation.

The waranty may also be less on OEM parts.

But theres nothing wrong or bad about them.

Ste,

My mobo comes w/ SATA signal cables and SATA power cables.... do i need to buy anything? mounting screws? if so, are mounting screws standard size? (ie... i can go into any store and buy them)

You should have extra screws that came with your case or motherboard.

Im sure you could walk into a computer store and ask for Case screws.

The S-ATA cables provided with the Motherboard should be fine.

These drives are fine to buy, infact I only buy oem "bare" drives. They usually also come with the same warranty.
