Post Bandwidth Smandwidth?

Now that we are at a point
of high bandwidth for web users, why do website builders still worry about keeping webpages they build under 100k??

We still have some people in this world that use dial-up for financial or location reasons.

Or because they're too dumb to upgrade
I meet plenty of people at my job who hold the ridicuous belief that AOL and Dial Up are "The Interet" and that nothing else exists or is way to complicated for them (or so they think).

Because they care about the people who visit. I, for one dont care if you have broadband or dont. I keep my site the way i like it.
