Default Back-up procedures

Our 250MB back-up disk can't handle our daily back ups anymore. Can you guys recommend a good low cost upgrade? This will be used to back-up a small private dental office. Thanks.

What do you mean it can't handle it? Is the space too small, or is there too much writing and reading from it? Now a days, you can an 80GB harddrive for a mere $40:

Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE WD800AAJS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

But I'm not entirely sure what to suggest given that I'm not sure what's not being able to handle the backups.

Sorry, yea the 250GB is too small.

We want a removable back-up storage device, something that we physically remove from the office. I didn't know if people still use removable storage media, or if people were switching to external HDs..?

Ah - I was about to say that 250MB is quite small (antiquated in fact). I think external hard drives are the way to go. You could either buy an enclosure for a current hard drive you have, an external hard drive, or a removable hard drive rack. This should do the trick:

Western Digital 1TB My Book Essential USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - WDH1U10000N - Buy.com

(Newegg has 160, 250, and 320GB sizes, but there are also 500, 750GB, 1, and 2TB sizes too)
