Default audio problems after xp re-install

On the old board I found a post with the exact problem I was having. I joined this board to thank him but too many posts, can't find it.

After an xp reinstall, I had no sound, tried everything twice and finally got the answer and a link to the driver I needed on the old board. Giving the link was especially appreciated because I was growing weary.

Thanks, whoever you are.

Gail
