Default Ati Radeon

My husband just bought an Ati Radeon 9550 video card to upgrade our computer and I was trying to install it, but the card won't fit into the slot. This is the first time I've tried to install hardware on our computer so I was wondering if certain cards are only compatible with certain computers?

Ok. How do I figure out which card to get when I take this one back so I get the right one next time?

you need to ask for agp. Now if he has a pci slot, you can use it.

Here is a pic of both
See the red one on top, thats agp, the bottom ones are pci

Different versions of pci
