Would it be worth it to get the sempron 3000+, my sis is lookin to buy and i suggested this.

I would think so, depending on the FSB and cache of both of them.
It's like comparing a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz to a Celeron 3.0 Ghz. Quite a difference.

yes it would be worth it, though i wouldn't reccomend upgrading from Socket A to s754 at this point in time. if it's an AM2 then great 
. i just don't think it's worth "upgrading" to a socket platform two generations out of date

there's no contest. the Sempron 3000+ is much better.
socket 754 is good enough. I have a Sempron 2800+ in my rig, and it does its job well.

the Semprons on s754 make nice cheap computers that are pretty powerful. i just don't think it's a good idea to get a new computer in the advent of AM2 that is now two platforms ago, in my opinion when building a budget computer it's good to design it with a cheap upgrade path in mind for the future. seeing as when you build a budget pc it's normally unlikely you'll be able to afford a new pc for quite a while so it's good to have an alternative available.
