Asus P5QL Pro mobo has no 1394 ports... can i add one?

i have a computer that i had built around a year ago that has a Asus P5QL Pro motherboard, and apparently it has no 1394 ports, and i need one now. will a 1394 card that plugs into the pci slot work?

Double checked for a onboard firewire header. No luck. I was a bit disappointed.

Any pci firewire card will work just fine for your needs.
