asus a8x-s mobo support amd x2 4800

im starting to max this puppy out.... and i would like to make an upgrade that will last a while.... ive been looking at the x2.....but is it worth it? will my mobo support it

Yes, the motherboard supports the X2.

The processor you have now is pretty fast (I'm using it now), but for gaming, i don't recommend it. It's quite slower than the rest of your setup.

Go for it, get an X2.
