ASUS 939 boards, are they good?

I have been reading on some threads that ASUS 939 boards die alot. is that true? whats the problem with them?

ive heard that two... but i dont think that that could b explained.

Its something that has to do with the bios, most likely.
So it should eventually be solved.

the specific problems i've heard of are some annoying BIOS glitches and the chipset cooling. on one hand you have the annoyingly loud older chipset fan and on the other you have the passively cooled one that is constantly mentioned as overheating.

I've used three boards in my builds (939 AMD) and none of them have had a problem.

They fixed the chipset problem. (whole new HS/Fan)

Have had no issues with my A8V.

The biggest issue that I have read/come across is the chipset fans. They are pretty notorious for dying. The newer boards have started coming out with passive chipset cooling, which seems to do a better job of cooling, as well as lacks any mechanical parts that die.
