Aquired a dell....

A dimension 4550 to be exact. P4 2.53..512 RAM

It is very upgrade unfriendly but I think it maybe worth ugrading the 32 meg pos video card. It has a old Agp 4x slot. What is a decent reccomended card for this and will I be able to 1) play somewhat modern games and 2) set up a tv tuner and possibly dual monitors?

The TV tuner should work, but the video card i'm not sure, as Dell is weird about their computers, but i would go on ahead and try a 6800XT (AGP) or a 7600GS (AGP), they're both good cards

i actually have a dell 4550 that i got back in 2001ish when i was in school. (would never buy a dell nowadays...but i did and i have it so i'm stuck)

it has actually been very upgrade friendly. i've added 2 512mb sticks to it and they've worked marvelously. added a slave harddrive and got a cheapo radeon 9550 so i could play WoW.

never had a problem with it. its never crashed and the only hardware failure its had was the cpu fan.
