My friend is building his own PC and I was just wondering if you guys recommended anything different.

Here are the parts, with links to the store:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400T (I recommended a Q6600)
GPU: 9600GT 512MB PCI-E2 Leadtek
MOBO: Asus Mainboard P5KC
CD/DVD: Sony AW-G170S
RAM: DDR2-800 Kingston 2GB-kit
HDD: 500GB 3.5" SATA-II Samsung (x2)
CASE: Cooler Master Mystique 632S
PSU: Cooler Master extreme power 650W

Oh, and it's running XP.

*edit* He'll be using the computer for gaming.
and I just noticed the e8400t has higher FSB, but will the q6600 out perform it?

But the Q6600 is still listed cheaper on that site than the E8400. Why won't he get the Q6600??

Because his other friend said that it's better than the Q6600 in gaming performance. I just agreed and said it was the FSB.
but to be honest I'm not sure. =\

I don't think he's going to OC it, because he said he doesn't see a need for it.
Same reason he's not getting Ballistix.

It's just a stock speed system >_>


And Darksideleader, Why do you recommend those over the Kingston?
Is it just simply because they're cheaper?
