Hi guys:D...

I was going to buy a video card and PSU yesterday but when I got to the store all the super sales ended:mad: so I decided to hold off on buying them....

I saw this computer and it has every thing I'm looking with a low price tag.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...CategoryId=pcmcat18700050010&id=1124431815188

I would buy a 7800GTX and 1GB memory in a couple months to put in it:D

Can I build a PC of the same or better specs for cheaper, With on-board video or a crappy video card to get me by until I can buy the 7800GTX, I would need Windows XP or Windows MCE included in the price.

you could build those same specs for less i think. in fact, you maybe could get the memory and vid. card to for around that price. check it out on newegg.com and see what you come up with. i'm too lazy to look it up for you. wait a couple hours and someone will probably post links for you.

I went to Bestbuy and checked out the computer. It claims its 2.2GHz but when the guy checked the actual speed it was running at, It was only 1.78 Whats up with that??

Bestbuy did that to my bro's computer it said AMD Sempron 2.2Ghz but when he bought it was a AMD Turion 1.7Ghz, it also said 512mb ram, turns out it was 384mb ram and the video card was 128mb shared ram. Although they didnt lie about the ram they should really get into more detail about the parts.

Build it yourself you'll save money.

I built a guy computer
Thermaltake Tsunami
X2 3800+
MSI K8N Neo-4
7800GT
2x1GB Dual Channel corsair value select
ANTEC 550w
Lite-on DVD Rom drive
for $1250 including shipping.

I bet allot of people think they are running with 2.2GHz.....

I think I will build my own. I wanted to use the DFI lanparty Ultra-D motherboard but all the bad reviews and horror storys worry me.

Besides, the HP is probably a socket 754.

And with a pre-built, you can forget about over-clocking...

Build it yourself or use monarchcomputers to have it built. Best Buy is the "worst buy" IMO. I will newegg one for you.....

Thanks Guys:D

Trotter, I think it is a 939 and the geek squad guy said I could over-clock the FSB....

I would like to use a onboard video motherboard to save some $$ because I will be buying the 7800gtx in a couple months.

At new egg they only have micro-ATX motherboads with onboard video that are socket 939 are they any good?

If not this is what I came up with using Vaderpros list as a base.

Around how much will shipping be? I live in IL.

I'm sure you don't like the case I picked, but I do;) I will get a better PSU when I get the 7800gtx. Will it be ok untill then?

I had to get the price down so I down graded some stuff. Thats ok because my emachine can burn DVDs and it has a 160GB hard drive.

What do you guys think?
