Default AMD vs Intel Processors

Alrighty. I've got two processors picked out right now. They're about the same price, but different speeds, I think.

AMD - http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...13&cid=CPU.907
Intel - http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...886&cid=CPU.84

Anyways, Any input on them? I know the Intel chip seems to be the popular one right now, and AMD seems to have been left in the dust... What's your input?

If you won't be OCing, and the AMD costs the same or less than the Intel.
Then Go AMD.

But why wouldn't you want to OC? Its not like its hard?

I've never had experience in it, and I don't want to mess something up .

AMD then, but you will want to OC, it will happen, its inevitable.
If your thinking ahead go intel, because like I said, Eventually you will want to OC.

I guess I'll start reading into OC guides. It seems simple enough... But I've noticed some people having troubles OCing their e6600 (Which I may purchase depending on the price drop for Intel in April).

The E6400 is overall better than 5000+

Go with E6400

Intel will beat the AMD, even if you don't overclock

At stock speed the E6400 beats 5000+ and 5200+ in most cases

E6600 beats FX62 and 5600+ at stock speed

E6700 beats 6000+ at stock speed.

Ahhh Thanks. That settles it . I'll probably go with the e6600 when the price drops then.
