the p-rating for Sempron's in my experience is a little ambiguous. in raw calculation ability and basically more scientific sort of tasks the sempron performs more like a celeron. when it comes to multimedia and gaming thought the sempron excels and would more closely match a P4 at the clock speed corresponding to its p-rating than a celeron
