AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon HD 7850?

I thought it was 4 beeps but it is definitely 6 and it only ever happens when I've got the 7850 and the onboard connected at the same time to different monitors. That's also the only time i can get a display from the 7850. After getting it working earlier I decided to test it with a game and after a few minutes I pressed the 'windows' key and the screen went blank again. Also it's a wireless keyboard and it still works fine after the beeps.

If you have another keyboard try it. 6 beeps is Gate A20 which is the keyboard controller. Usually only a problem with wired keyboards which is weird in your case. I'm starting to wonder if it is your PSU not giving the card enough power.

I was thinking along the same lines actually. I've been warned before that this is a poor quality PSU. I'm willing to upgrade and see if it clears the problem, if not I'll see if I can test the card in another machine. What would you recommend in the way of PSU's?

Test the card in another machine first before wasting your money. That's the smart thing to do.
