After building the computer...

Okay so lets say i build my first computer...

Will all of the settings for the different components be okay after all of the drivers/the os are installed. or will i have to fine tune things? If so, how would i go about doing so?

Are there tests that i could run to make sure that everything is running smoothly, or would i need other equipment/ a professional to do that? How can i make sure that everything is working properly in general?

anything else that I should look into?
