Default Advice on my first build

This will be my first build and I figured that as long as I'm spending money I should get opinions from people who know what they're talking about. I plan on using the computer for gaming and schoolwork. (I only want this setup to competently run games it doesn't need to max out every game that comes out.) Your opinions and recommendations are appreciated! And thanks in advance for any help.
Here's the build:

edit:I forgot to mention that I need help choosing a motherboard. (I knew I forgot something.) This is what I had in mind, And I'd like to keep it under $1300 including the operating system. Thanks again for the help.

Don't get the Hitachi. Get a Western Digital Black.

Where is your motherboard?

All else looks decent.

Am I missing something or is there no motherboard?

I almost bought the Challenger 2 weeks ago. People here pushed me towards the Antec 300 Illusion and I'm quite glad.
