Default 9600 GT compatible with nForce 630i (GeForce 7100)?

I currently have one pci express slot open and was wondering if I could put a 9600 GT in with nForce 630i (GeForce 7100). The 7100 is built into the motheboard so I was just curious if it woud be possible to put a geforce 9600 in my pci express slot and have it work. k any help woul e appreciated

Yes, it will work. The mobo chipset has nothing to do with the card's operation. I am running an Nvidia chipset with an ATI card.

Ya you can do it..

Just because the board supports DDR2, doesn't mean it won't work with a GDDR3 9600gt

just disable the onboard vga. it might cause problems if you don't. (its a bios setting) but it might also just disable itself, i've had that work for me.
