To start out, I am not really that computer savy, so I came here.
I've searched the forums; my question is a bit specific however.
I have a really crappy computer, but I do not have enough money to build a new one yet, so I decided to just upgrade my video card for now.
My motherboard (http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/bv2/index.htm) (I am aware it is old/junky/etc.) supports 1x, 2x, and 4x AGP cards (1.5 V only).
I was thinking of getting this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121216
However, in the requirements it states I need an AGP 8X slot.
But, I've read that you can still install an 8X video card on a 4X slot with lowered performance costs.
So would I be able to install this card on my mobo successfully?
If not, could someone recommend me a better card for my mobo? One that could at least run Oblivion (I'm upgrading from an MX440).
Thanks for reading this.
