Question 7800 or X850???

I was hoping to upgrade my computer next summer and i decided on a new vid-card. I know the 7800 and X850 are the top ATI/Nvidia cards and was wondering which was better and which has more bang for the buck. Anything about the cards would help.

Do a search! this topic has been covered many times.

If you want some head-to-head comparisons on benchmarks go to

About half way down, on the right-hand side is a link to "VGA charts" thats where you'll find the comparisons.

350 for ATI? hahaha... if you look hard enough on newegg.com you will be able to get a 7800GT for around the same price after rebates. It really is no question.

You got ripped man, that card would be worth maybe $200 at THE MOST. Words can't describe how much ATI sucks right now. That card is not even a full DX9 card (so you will be forced to play newer games in DX8.1 and even DX 7!!). You should return it and get at least a 6800 GT which IS a DX9 card, if not a 7800 GTX.
