hows the quality of the 6800gs's able to play all the new games and such? better than the x800xts?

the 6800GS is easily better then the x800xt, mainly because x800 series or below dont support Shader Model 3.0, also the 6800GS sometimes out performs the 6800GT for about $100 less, the 6800GS and can be overclocked to around ultra speeds if you have some good cooling.

yeah i plan to get a 6800gs and a amd athlon 64 3200+ but i dont know what mobo to get??

SM3.0 is an instruction set and people really blow it out of proportion and think it improves performance or some sort of bollocks...compare:

AMD64 running at 1GHz
AMD Athlon XP running at 2GHz

Regardless of the fact that the AMD64 supports a larger range of instruction sets, specifically 64 bit registers, the XP is still the faster core by a long shot

Now that's not to say the 6800GS isn't faster than the x800XTPE as for the most part I'd have to agree and say it is...but it is not faster because of SM3.0, get that out of your head
