$600 Dollar Budget for a PC!

I'd reccomend a Socket 939 CPU, no matter what you do. Socket 754 is at the end of it's lifetime. I do agree that the 7300GS isn't worth it's price, so stick with a 6200 or 6600 series card. You really don't need a 6600GT, as they are entry level cards for great gaming, a 6200 card would suffice, just make sure it's PCI-e so if you want to game and/or upgrade later, it's easy.

He's not planning on doing much upgrading. It's more of a trial build for him. He said so in his first post. It's a 'build it and be done' computer. He is wanting to learn with a decent computer when he's done.
