Default $400 Build w/no os or monitor

Looking at options for a new computer. I would like to have the experience of building my own, but if a prebuilt would fit my budget better, so be it. The computer would be used for microsoft office duties, limited picture editing, possibly a little bit of video editing(nothing major, just home videos), streaming hulu/movies to xbox 360, music, general home computing stuff. I will not be playing games on this machine, at least not at this point. I don't need an O.S. I have a copy of Windows 7 pro 64bit for this machine.

What can be done for $400 that will last a few years for what I want to do?

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Newegg.com - Antec Basiq BP500U 500W Continuous Power ATX12V Version 2.01 Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies
Newegg.com - RAIDMAX APEX ATX-802B Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

total: $399.22 + shipping.

If you don't think you're gonna do any gaming in the future, then you could switch to microATX mobo and case and this power supply:

Newegg.com - SPARKLE ATX-350PN-B204 350W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply - Power Supplies

by going microATX and switching PS, you'd save around $30.

Do you think my pioneer dvd burner will work with this set up? I didn't see an optical drive in your list.
