I'm only playing a few games as it is right now I'm not a hardcore gamer. right now I just play doom3 GTA sanandreas and need for speed most wanted. but I am trying to get ready to get vista when it comes out.

Ehhh the 6600 isn't that good of a card. I had one and Doom 3 on it is really pushing it. If you don't want to upgrade your mobo/cpu, you could always get the 7800GS. Besides all that stuff only adds up to like 150 bucks, don't you have 400? And 500 on the way?
