Heres a good build from overclockers.co.uk

Also should you ever choose to overclock, this is plenty capable of 3+ghz

but ya, thats your build, and you should defiantly think about OC'ing, if you do it right and safe it's benefits far outweigh the risks.

i will overclock eventually but right now i need the system to do the overclocking on

back to the question a post or 2 ago, will the 3850 512mb cards be good for crossfire

yeah they will be fine for crossfire, but if you plan on going CF then buy a X38 board.

Personally, I think a single more powerful GPU is much better.

Isnt x48 coming out soon so shouldnt the x38's go down?

Not really. The x38 and x48 boards are different demographics.
