Default 256MB X800GT Vs. 128MB 6600GT

Which is better if they are the same price (comparing performance) and there is no advantages to buying Nvidia?

256MB Ati X800GT

128MB Nvidia 6600GT

256MB = better for rendering bigger textures faster.

Nvidia has Pixel Model 3.0 though, which will be crucial for future games. It really is a tough decision, depends on what games you want to play.

Well i have seen the 6600GT in action on a friends computer playing decently intensive games and its a great card in my opinion. Can't really say anything for the X800GT but from my experience the 6600GT is a very decent card.

It's not like i'm going to be playing any high graphics intensive games, it's just for casual gaming and some video editing.

Well for video editing either card will do (For consumer applications)

However in games, if you look at benchmarks the 6600GT still currently has the lead.

And for x800 vs x800GT, their is no such thing as a plain x800, but they may be refering to x800pro
