anybody know what the difference is between 24pin and 20+4 pin... cuz the mobo i'm getting is 24 pin.. and i wanna know if i could just get a 20+4 pin...
i really need something with a longer than average main plug due to the oddness of my case.... motherboard being in backwards, or something like that as i read
Yes you can use that PSU with that mobo. The 20+4 pin connector is a 20 or 24 pin connector. It is a 24 pin connector with a removable 4 pin clip.
I guess you want to have at least 30amps at +12volts, That PSU is 28amps at +12volts so I would look at a different one. It looks like that PSU comes with a extender for the main plug, I'm sure that's why it fits well in that case. You can simply buy a extender and put it on any PSU http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc...e=M&Product_Code=150116&Category_Code=CaseMod
