2 questions? PSU/RAID Card

1. Anyone know a better RAID card then this one: Rosewill RC-200 PCI IDE Silicon Image RAID (0/1/0+1)

2A.What happens when you use to much power for your PSU? Just doesn't boot up? Blue screen of death?

2B.Do cd roms constantly use power or only when their in use?

If you use too much power in your PSU, I think it will just shut off the system on it's own to prevent further damage. I think optical drives take power all the time but very little, when not in use.

Newegg has many RAID cards better than that. It depends on what you want to spend.

The PSU will just shot off or wreck your computer depending on the quality.
