Default 2 computers on a single monitor

Hi,
I want to connect 2 computers to a single monitor and i want to be able to switch between which computer the monitor is showing.
I assume there is some kind of device that i can connect both computers and the monitor and then switch between them. I've tried looking for it on amazon and such but having no idea what its called i didn't find anything. So does anyone know where i can get one of these things and what are they called in general?
Thanks.
