10/100 slowing me down?

Even if you were running your network card at 10mbps and using the internet you will not see a difference as your connection to the outside is under 1mbps. No bottleneck.

Those numbers do seem a little low for broadband especially the download. Incedently you can think about the gigabit card like this. If you download speed is 650 Kbps and your current card is 10/100 Mbps then you current card is about 154 times as fast as your internet connection (650 Kilobits divided into 100 MegaBits). You would literally need a 100 Mbps connection to use the speed up you card. So I don't think a gigabit card will do you any good for surfing the internet.

Download could be better, but upload is better than mine


For surfing the net, it's OK, but downloading anything, it's a no-no. Get faster internet.

Was anybody downloading or using the internet while you were doing the test?
