10,000rpm Hd

I've noticed a lot of people have a 74GB 10,000RPM HD for the master and then a bigger 7,200 RPM for the slave. Why is this? Does Windows run faster with a faster HD?

You can use the 74 for speed and the other for storage like mine (40 x 2)

Anything will run faster on a 10K HD compared to a 7.2K one.

There is no need to have a 10k hdd to save loads of word documents to, as it is a waste of the space. Putting the OS and games will improve loading times, but with that said I really don't think it is worth it.

I have 3 10K drives, loading times are much quicker but the real life save is virus scans are much quicker.

Thats said I would expect a fast HDD to be low on a gamers priority list
