I've had this Virtumonde for a few days, and it's driving me nuts. I've followed several guides (including Osiris' Spyware removal guide) and none of them have cured it. Here is my HijackThis log:

Vundofix usually takes care of them for me, check it out. It can also infect the userinit32.exe file and this would need to be replaced by a known safe copy if it's that bad. You can grab one off a non-infected computer easily enough.

I tried VundoFix today and it said it didn't find anything. I know I still have something because pop-ups that talk about random dll file names (as in random letters) can't be loaded right. This is most likely because they have been deleted by Malwarebytes, but whatever is causing them to try and be loaded has to still be working. If this helps any, there is a hidden file in my C:\Program Data folder named "vujegoba" that when deleted, reappears right away.

I deleted those Hijack This entries, running malwarebytes full scan right now. Can I use combofix, I have Vista SP1, I thought it's only for XP? Thanks for the help so far, I really appreciate it.

Ok, I have 32 bit, will run it when Malwarebytes is done scanning. Will update this post with logs when everything is finished.

Next I rebooted and ran ComboFix, for some reason it will not run. In it's cmd promt it says "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x8 in the message file for System". I'm not sure if this is because I am in Safe Mode with Networking right now, instead of normal Safe Mode. I then did another HijackThis scan, here is the log:

go to start, run, type msconfig press enter. go to the startup tab, click disable all, then recheck your antivirus, reboot.

Then post another hjackthis log.

ComboFix will not run in normal mode either, it just opens the cmd with the programs blue backround and sits there with the cursor blinking. I did not disable my Spyware program and graphics drivers to be on the safe side (I don't want to chance the graphics drivers, and my virus software (Trend Micro) does not have built in Spyware) Here is the updated hijackthis log:

Also, the vujegoba file is still there, I'm guessing it's part of the Virtumode because it keeps coming back.

Edit: I was able to run ComboFix today, I can upload the log if you want, it's too big to post here. I'm still not totally sure my system is clean. The vujegoba file is still in C:\Program Data. I'm pretty sure it's not a system file becuase I searched it on Google and found no matches for it.
