I have used Regedit before, however, I am not particularly familiar with it, so basic instructions would be greatly appreciated

Okay, here is the Microsoft article: How to Modify the Windows Registry Now, I never bother to make a backup when I'm deleting things...I should but I don't, LOL. Esp, if it's a file I KNOW I want gone.

So do a copy and paste of the BHO #243B17DE-77C7-46BF-B94B-0B5F309A0E64 into find and let it tell you where it is, then hit delete. do a find next until it tells you that ALL instances of that BHO are gone. DO NOT ASSUME there is only one instance of it. Liz

Well, the BHO you gave me isn't one of the ones that rstones12 had recommended that I remove, does that mean I should remove that one as well? or was it just a mistake in copying and pasting?

Edit:
Hrmm, I'll try rebooting into safemode... or maybe cutting off IE, but it gave me an error "Cannot Delete {8CDEAB54-623F-F50E-DF61-706832995361}:Error while deleting key"
then I tried to delete the "Value", it gave me "Cannot delete specified values"...

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8CDEAB54-623F-F50E-DF61-706832995361} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B5116527-9431-F448-8724-62321289933B} - (no file)
It was those two in your log. And it must have been a case of my being half asleep. Sorry. Liz

heh, well thanks, been busy with other things, havn't had a chance to go into safe mode. i'll post again if it works
