System restore failure

Ok, I am running WinXP Home SP2. I downloaded an anti-keylogger (Don't remember what it was Anyway, I disconnected from the internet, and a few hours later I went to open NetZero Dialer, when I tried it said, "Error code 14 Please restart your computer to fix this problem." Went I restarted my computer it did the same thing. Forgetting to uninstall the anti-keylogger, I did a system restore, it worked, I got my NetZero working, then I noticed I didn't have a program that I had recently downloaded (Windows Media Player 11), so I undid my last restore, not thinking it would do anything. Well, now I can't find the anti-keylogger, and my system restore doesn't work, I have all my restore points, but it still doesn't work, I have had to resort to AOL (blah). Any ideas how to fix this?


P.S. My desktop icons show only half the icons and my shift key stays on after I use it, don't know why either.

Do a Windows XP Repair Install. It reverts everything back to normal, keeping all of your saved documents.

Alright, I can't do a system repair, I don't have the CD. Anyway, I got NetZero to work once today, haven't got it to work since, I have done all my scans to see if it could be a virus, spyware, malware, ect... It's not, but I think the anti-keylogger that I installed before it started to happen was Keylogger Killer, I know it was the anti-keylogger that started this because when I first ran the program it disconnected me so I tried to open NetZero again, I got "Error Code 14," after that I closed the program and opened my NetZero and it opened, I thought I uninstalled it, but no, I still have the same problem as I did when I had the program running.
