I am getting an error that says That Windows cannot connect to the Internet using Http, Https, or FTP probably caused by firewall settings on this computer.

Check Firewall settings for Http port 80, Https port (443) and FTP port (21)

The only issue you have is the ViewPoint Service.

You need to remove that. You need to check and make sure that the program you are using to access the internet has permission to go through the Firewall. Not that the ports it wants to use can go through. It is no good having the ports open if the program itself is blocked.

I removed that and I still get the same error. I have both the Windows Firewall off and the Trend Micro firewall off. When I first experienced this problem It affected Internet Explorer but not Firefox. Then I went and updated firefox and then it would not work. I wonder if that sheds more light on the problem?

Did you remove the program completely or just in HiJack This. Remember HiJack This is not a removal tool. Just a detection tool. You cant turn off the Trend Micro. That causes these types of issues. If you disable the Trent Micro then it blocks your internet. Turn that back on.
