How's it going...
I've got a virus called bridge.inf - Which i tampered with, to stop it running(Couldn't Delete), but i've a suspicion that i've got something else too!
Can anyone analyse this for me...
P.S. I want to know what the 017/TCIP objects are?
I'm not part of a network, and use a Tiscali ADSL 512kbs broadband connection.
Many thanks in anticipation. Blo.

Hello blo

the 017's belong to your isp they are ok to leave

i really dont see anything wrong with your log

i would try this

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/moveonboot.html

try and delete the file with that

and then

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites....select autoclean click below

Housecall
Panda scan
RAV

Re-boot again. Then post a new HijackThis log to check what is left if anythig didnt get cleaned post the av log too

I've tried to find the infected file before - but had no luck - Instead, i was pointed to an ActiveX Control within Downloaded Program Files.
I HAD unhidded files + folders etc before i tried.
I'll try a scan, and see what it comes up with.
Cheers. Blo.

Virus - Winfavourites.
Quick info for you...
Here's a thread i started...HERE

Norton won't delete this virus.

I previously went thru a manual delete+regedit removal procedure.
I should also mention that my Mrs got it thru IE6, which we don't use anymore.
I will enable IE, and use the online scanners above to see whether THAT shifts it! (But I'm Not Confident).
Get yer thinking Head's on...
Cheers. Blo.

Important... How do i find the file bridge.inf?

And Panda can't delete the below...

Incident Status Location

Adware:Adware/SaveNow No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\system32\q10pvbrv.dat
Adware:Adware/SAHAgent No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\setup4002b.ini
Adware:Adware/StatBlaster No disinfected C:\Program Files\WildArcade
Spyware:Spyware/Bridge No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.???
Spyware:Spyware/Bridge No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.inf
Adware:Adware/SAHAgent No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\setup4002b.ini
Adware:Adware/SaveNow No disinfected

I've tried all the virus scanners now, so i'm gonna have to use the 'MoveOnBoot' program above...
Can you tell me why the file isn't in D/Loaded Prog Files.
I've looked at all the files properties + files that they depend on, but still no mention of bridge.inf
Can anyone help me find, and delete this file?
Cheers. Blo.

Lets see if Killbox will get it. The file has had it's Atribs changed...so it's not viewable in windows. If KILLBOX can't get it we will remove it from DOS.

Download KillBox http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/KillBox.zip

Reboot into safe mode.

Run KILL box. Paste the following locations into KILL BOX one at a time. Checkmark the box that says "Delete on Reboot" and checkmark the box "Unregister DLL" (If available) Click the RED X and it will ask you to confirm the file for deletionÂ…say YES and when the next box opens prompting you to reboot now...click NO...and proceed with the next file. Once you get to the last one click YES and it will reboot.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\q10pvbrv.dat
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\setup4002b.ini
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.inf

Also delete any of these others if found...

bridge.exe
winfavorites.exe
bridge.dll
bridge.inf
jao.dll
a.exe

Once you reboot...post another Panda scan

Got no time now... I'll do the neccessary, and re-post...
Many Thanks.
Blo.

I use firefox as a default browser, so i changed the default Browser to IE6 - Then scanned with Panda + HouseCall.
No problems detected... Heh Heh!
I've still got to scan with Norton 2005 yet - Which i'll try now!

The KillBox thing worked!
No more bridge.inf (Winfavourites)...
I'd just like to thank the man who made it all possible.............................. MicroBell!
