hmm .. that is exactly what I did when I put in my new harddrive

what you can do is unhook your cd drives, floppy drive, any other external drive or hard drive then reinstall so that it wil for sure be C:

ok I feel I am back at the begining .. I fromatted and reinstalled windows... my hard drive is now a C drive but yahoo.com won't open on my computer .. and that was the whole reason I bought a new harddrive in the begining... I really need so help ... I mean the only things that have went on my computer since I redid it are all updates from microsoft , WMP , firefox, nod32. so cam someone please explain this to me??????

Where are you from?

You got any firewalls installed?

Can you put it on the approved sites list?

Can you test yahoo.com out on another pc in the house?

and yahoo.com worked the first time i did the computer and the scond time it doesn't and I didn't do anything different

In internet options....have you done anything to the router?
If the firewall is off can you see it?
