Infected computer

Please help anyone, my computer has become infected. I have AVG 9 (free one) and spybot search and destroy. I am unable to complete a scan with either of these as they freeze after a short while. Basically my whole system slows to a halt or freezes afetr a short time. I have run spybot in safe mode which detected and removed some threats, but its still not fixed. This is my hijackthis log:

Uninstall spybot, ts garbage.......

Run malwarebytes and post its log.

If it wont run then we will need to run a different tool.

Spybots immunization function is good, just use malwarebytes for scanning.

Spywareblaster is also another good tool to help prevent reinfection.

Keep windows updated and use firefox or opera if not already.

Do you get a page cannot be displayed? Have you tried to repair the connection?

Yes that's the message I get. I have tried to diagnose connection problem but get a runtime error. I have found out by chance that if I run the avg scan without the mains power supply attached it runs much quicker. Strangely though, when it is plugged in to the mains now, the light indicator showing that it is running from the laptop battery is lit, which switches off when it is being run on the battery?!

Can you download combofix on another pc and transfer it?

I have run combofix now and no problems in terms of a virus. The laptop runs fine when running off the battery, but as soon as it is connected to the mains it slows almost to a halt. Is this a common problem, and could it be solved by replacing the mains adaptor? Also, I'm still unable to access the internet, I've tried reinstalling it and changing the firewall settings. The router is fine because I can use it for my PS3 ok. Anyone know how to fix this?
