Hello everyone,

I realize that Dec. 31 isn't a good day to be asking a complicated question, but I hope someone out there has a few suggesstions to throw at me before heading off to party!!

Anyway, here's the problem. Up until yesterday, both my IE and MF browsers worked fine. Then, internet got really slow- X'ed out of MF and started it again. Nothing. It won't access any website at all. Tried same with IE, and same thing. Checked internet connection (DSL)- it was on. Shut off connection, and started it again. Normally it takes about 5 seconds to connect, this time, it took about 30-40 seconds. Same drill w/MF and IE, same results.

Here's what I've done so far:

- Searched for spyware/malware using:
-Ad-Aware
- Spybot
-Counterspy
-Webroot
-Microsoft Anti-Spyware
-All of the other suggested spyware programs & other techniques as recommended by this website

-Tried searching for viruses using Stinger and Avast!: both came up with nothing.

Anyway, here's my HJT log file:

your log looks fine to me. Here are a few items to delete.

what do you have running in msconfig?

Hi Warez,

Thanks for the deletion suggestions, I'll do that. While I'm deleting those entries, I'll check and see what msconfig has in it. I'll let you know very soon (lie another 10 mins or so).

Thanks for your help!

Hi again,

Deleted those items, and checked msconfig. Nothing looks out of the ordinary there. I rebooted, and the problem's still there.

If you have any other ideas, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks again,

Noob

I'll have to post the screenshots to a different post b/c I can't attach them here in the reply function. I'll call the new post IE & MF2, okay? Thanks!

Sorry, I can't upload the file, it's too big, and the IMG command here won't let me do it, either.
