if i even think i have a virus, i just boot straight to safe mode and scan with avg. takes no time at all. :p

safe mode so the virus doesnt load itself with windows, i suppose you can use msconfig to do this but safemode isnt bad too. and AVG is wonderful :p and im virus free to this day
 
There have been worse. I did a job for a guy last year who had 35 differently asorted trojans and viruses, not to mention the 500+ spyware/adware....

ah good, i'm pleased that I only had it a few hours if that, AVG is good but it dosn't pick up on evrything like HijackThis does but none the less its a great program, thanks Osiris and Makelive for your help :)

I'm sure AVG programmers don't put 110% in their free edition.
 
When i was a windows user i used Zone Alarm paid editon an i never had a problem.
