Silverlord,

If you would read the OT you would see that yes a reinstall and a repair of the app has failed. ;)

BabyBlue,

Please do as follows:

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

1. Please open Notepad
  • Click Start, then Run
  • Type "notepad.exe" in the Run Box.
2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:
Code:
KillAll::
PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\SoDAHK.DLL
3. Then in the text file go to FILE => SAVE AS and in the dropdown box select SAVE AS TYPE to ALL FILES

4. Save the above as CFScript.txt

5. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.

CFScript.gif

5. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please post the following reports/logs into your next reply

Logs needed in next post:

ComboFix

Cheers,
Mak

I seem to be tripping up alot on the forums today, long day in support apologies

SilverLord,

It is understandable. Wouldnt have known unless you checked the OP. I have had those days myself. All is good.

Cheers,
Mak

Hello,

Yes your PC is still heavily infected. Please do as follows:

Step 1 | Smitfraud Fix

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm

Step 2 | Deckard System Scanner

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Logs needed in your next post:

SmitfraudFix
Deckard System Scanner

Cheers,
Mak

Hi, I try to follow step 1 by clicking on the link given and it did prompt me to save the file or cancel using firefox. However, nothing happen after i click "save file" (save to destop)so i google for the homepage of SmitfraudFix and download from there. The problem still occur. I decided to use IE and save to desktop and again it did not let me save so i decided to save to my C drive instead. The procedure was success. However, when choosing option 1 to search, it start to "scan process" and "scan host". After that it automatically close the program. I had try multiply times and still the problem occur. I manage to download DSS to my desktop though. How should i proceed next?

Hello,

You need to run Smitfraud as that will clear up a bunch of entries in your previous log. IF you could try in Safe Mode it would be appreciated.

There is at least 10 different virus/malware present on the PC. Smitfraud will catch some and i can create a log for the others. But we really need these to be run in order to make sure that some of these things are getting cleaned.

Cheers,
Mak
