hijackthislog and XP update question

So a fellow coworker wanted me to look at his pc because he said it was acting weird and I found it to have some spyware and a virus. I seem to have fixed those issues to an extent but I need someone to look at their log to see if anything major is there. Also he is running xp Pro and is unable to update. It says that you need to enable the services Automatic Updater, BIT, and Event Log. The BIT and Event Log is enabled but I'm unable to enable automatic update.
