yes i had sp3. i reinstalled using my service pack 2 & now i can't access windows update to download service pack3 again. is it possible my group policy settings were affected by the virus that prevents me from accessing websites. this virus is fairly new so =there isn't much info on it. i

i've heard about combofix. would that be able to help me with my computer issues? since i downgraded to service pack 2 my computer shows a blue screen i thing it has something to do with ndis.sys blue screen of death people have been getting. i don't get it when i'm in safe mode. is there a way around this?

Thats a driver issue. Do you have wireless? If you disable/uninstall the onboard NIC, mess around with it for a few, does it still blue screen?

Well go ahead and disable your NIC and see what happens
