scan came up clear again, but still can't connect to the other machines in my network! Caused by a virus?

Hi,

Thanks again for all your help. As I mentioned, I have scanned my machine two or three times now, and apart from the first infection, it's been clear since then. However, my network problem surfaced at the exact time I got an infection. No matter what network settings I change or reset, it makes no difference. Also, my router no longer recognizes my computer's name, now referring to it as unknown. Isn't it possible some trojan is preventing the DNS service from running properly?

Hi,

Success at last. Uninstalled Zone Alarm, reset my router to default settings, and ran WinSockFix.exe. Not sure which one cured the problem, but it's fixed now!
