Hijack Log, Please Check

Hi,

Followed the instructions and ran all the tools in the Spyware Removal Guide. However, this morning an AVG Free scan turned up an infection called "Trojan Horse PSW.Banker5.CIV". Here is my log.

Can you remove the infections with AVG, scan again and see if it comes up clean?

Hi Osiris,

Thanks for the quick reply. AVG says the infection is in "C:\System Volume Information\Restore" and then a long value. Funny this is I sitched off System Restore last night before I ran all the tools in the Removal Guide. When I remembered, and went to sicth it back on, it was already on! Anyway, I've deleted the infection from the virus vault, and I'm currently re-scanning with AVG

p.s. Almost every time I open IE7, I get an error saying I'm offline. Any connection?

Disable system Restore, reboot and scan again and let me know

I disabled it, re-enabled, and then started the scan. Is that ok, or would you rather I scanned with System Restore disabled?

p.s. Scan finished now, and it came up clear. Any conclusions?

When you disable system restore, it deletes the restore points. When you re-enable it, it creates a new one. So the infection should be gone unless its coming from your system and infecting system restore, let me know what the scan turns up.

Hi,

As I mentioned, the scan came up clean. I've now switched off, and switched back on, to see if it reappears on a reboot. I'm now running the scan again, and I'll post the result.
