the log looks fine but that dont mean its all gone. Until he gets sp2 on there, make that pc as clean as possible and fully updated. Then run the scans again and post a new log otherwise they will keep coming back. What types of spyware does Ewido find?

LOL, he just told me that his windows isnt legit, so updating is out of the picture... so the pop ups will come back everytime. I didn't know until i told him to go update windows again, and then he told me he uses his neighbors. So all this was a waste of both our times since everything will be coming back.
has he even tried to update it or install a standalone copy of xp?

That will not work with a non-legit copy of Xp as the SP2 installer checks if it is legit.

OK. it doesn't cost too much.
He should've gone to Linux though, much cheaper ($25 retail), and works just the same.
