DSL Network vulnerability?

I was wondering if it is possible for an infected computer to upload to it's corresponding DSL hub and then infect other computers connected to that hub? I know my inquiree seems short but that's pretty much all I want to know. It's kind of important to me also...

Worms are notorious for such activity. Therefore system admins usually limit where and what users can do in terms of internet.
